Miriam Chikwanda

Miriam is a Researcher and Evaluator at Southern Hemisphere. Miriam has a BSocSc (Social Work) and is currently completing a Masters in Development Studies at University of Western Cape. For 4 years, she practiced as a statutory social worker in child care and protection. Prior to joining Southern Hemisphere, she accumulated 3 years’ experience in of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) consultancy from Jet Education Services as a (M&E) intern and Development Works Changemakers as a Junior Researcher/Evaluation. Her history in M&E consultancy involves work in areas of Early Childhood Development (ECD), Education, Crime Prevention, Entrepreneurship, youth development skills, women empowerment, green building and environmental sustainability. Miriam has a specific interest in corporate social investment and ECD.  Miriam is registered with South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) and is a member of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA).
